IN SITU invites local and international creators, designers, artists, performers, and community groups to contribute to Macau’s evolving public spaces.
Over the course of the Biennale, six installations will be built across the city—three by international teams and three by local ones. These pavilions, installations, and urban projects are constructed directly on-site, turning Macau into the Biennale’s living exhibition ground. Around them, local individuals and associations will host workshops, performances, exhibitions, and other interactive initiatives, from cultural products to food stalls, adding layers of engagement, energy, and community life.

From December 11 to 14, 2025, Macau will host the inaugural IN SITU Placemaking Biennale, and to make all its activities possible, we need volunteers eager to participate and experience firsthand the work behind the participating teams and activities.
