Rooted in creative writing, publishing and years in advertising and marketing, Yik Sze Wong’s practice blends narrative, communication and design to explore how people move through and emotionally inhabit urban space. By night she works as a bookbinder and designer, shaping tactile experiences that heighten her sensitivity to materiality and form. Walking the city is her research, observing how people behave, gather and build memories within shared environments. Her work asks how thoughtfully curated public spaces can nurture imagination and connection, because without places that invite belonging, cities risk becoming landscapes of quiet loneliness. This belief guides every project she creates.
